This Seller Policy governs the obligations and responsibilities of users who list or sell items through the TCE platform, including any related website, mobile application, marketplace tools, exchange features, payment systems, or other services provided by TCE (collectively, the “Platform”). This Seller Policy is incorporated into and forms part of the TCE Terms of Service.
By listing, offering, or selling items on the Platform, you agree to comply with this Seller Policy, the Terms of Service, the Buyer Protection Policy, and all other applicable Platform rules.
1. Seller Eligibility
To sell on the Platform, you must maintain an active TCE account in good standing, be at least 18 years old, be legally permitted to sell the items you list, complete any required identity, seller, payout, tax, or compliance processes, and comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and Platform policies.
TCE may restrict, pause, or revoke selling privileges at any time for fraud prevention, risk management, compliance requirements, chargeback activity, policy violations, payment processor requirements, operational concerns, or other business reasons. Seller eligibility, listing limits, payout timing, and access to certain seller features may vary based on verification status, transaction history, seller level, risk signals, geographic location, and payment processor requirements.
2. Listing Accuracy and Seller Responsibility
Sellers are solely responsible for the accuracy of their listings, ownership of listed items, legality of listed items, authenticity, condition, shipping, fulfillment, and compliance with Platform policies.
Each listing must accurately represent the actual item being sold, include truthful descriptions and pricing, disclose known material defects or alterations, and use images that reasonably depict the item offered. Sellers may not misrepresent condition, grading, certification information, ownership, authenticity, or use edited or misleading photos intended to conceal damage, defects, or other material information.
Sellers may not list items they do not physically possess or do not have the legal right to sell. TCE reserves the right to remove, restrict, suppress, or require edits to listings at its discretion.
3. Order Commitment
When a seller completes a sale through TCE, the seller is making a commitment to ship the exact item purchased by the buyer at the agreed price. Sellers may not cancel or fail to fulfill an order because they received a better offer elsewhere, the market value changed, they changed their mind, they sold the item outside of TCE, or they no longer wish to sell at the agreed price.
Seller-initiated cancellations, failure to ship, repeated order cancellations, or failure to respond after a sale may result in enforcement action, including payout holds, reduced visibility, loss of selling privileges, account suspension, or other remedies available to TCE.
4. Images and Photo Requirements
Listing photos must reasonably represent the actual item being sold, be clear enough to identify the item and condition, and comply with Platform content rules. Unless otherwise permitted by TCE, stock photos may not be used for individual collectibles, sellers may not use photos they do not have rights to use, and photos may not intentionally conceal material flaws or damage.
TCE may require or request additional images, timestamp verification photos, front and/or back photos, tracking or fulfillment verification, packaging evidence, or shipment evidence for certain listings, values, categories, disputes, or risk reviews.
5. Graded Cards and Collectibles
Sellers listing graded collectibles are responsible for accurately representing the grading company, assigned grade, certification number where applicable, and the condition of the slab, case, label, or holder. Sellers must disclose known cracks, damage, tampering concerns, reholdering issues, label issues, or other material concerns.
Sellers acknowledge that grading is inherently subjective, slab condition and card condition may differ, buyers may evaluate items differently than grading companies, and third-party grading standards may change over time. TCE does not authenticate items, verify grades, guarantee grading outcomes, guarantee crossover or regrade outcomes, guarantee resale value, or act as a grading or certification authority.
6. Raw Card Condition Standards
Sellers must make reasonable efforts to disclose material flaws on raw cards and collectibles. However, sellers and buyers acknowledge that condition assessments may be subjective.
Minor disagreements regarding centering, print lines, surface scratches, edge wear, whitening, minor factory imperfections, holo patterns, glare, corners, or surface condition visible in photos may not qualify as material misrepresentation. Sellers are encouraged to provide clear photos and additional images when appropriate.
7. Lots, Bundles, and Sealed Products
Sellers offering lots, bundles, bulk listings, sealed products, or multi-item listings must reasonably describe what is included, product condition, quantity where applicable, known material defects, and whether the listing includes raw cards, graded cards, sealed items, or a mix.
For sealed products, sellers may not reseal, tamper with, or misrepresent products, and may not make false guarantees regarding contents, pull rates, pack outcomes, or expected value. Sellers must disclose known damage, tampering concerns, or reseal concerns.
TCE is not responsible for manufacturer defects, missing inserts, print quality, pack odds, expected pulls, expected outcomes, or contents of sealed products unless misrepresentation or tampering is supported by objective evidence.
8. AI-Assisted Listing Tools
TCE may provide AI-assisted or OCR-assisted listing tools that generate or suggest titles, product identification, card numbers, set names, grades, pricing guidance, metadata, or category information.
These tools are provided for convenience only. Sellers remain fully responsible for reviewing and correcting all listing information before publication. Automated systems may be inaccurate, OCR systems may misidentify items, pricing guidance may be incomplete or delayed, and suggested metadata may not match the exact item being sold. TCE does not guarantee the accuracy of automated outputs.
9. Offers and Negotiation Conduct
Where permitted by the Platform, sellers may accept, reject, counter, or disable offers. Sellers may not manipulate offer activity, coordinate fake offers, use secondary accounts to artificially inflate engagement, misrepresent offer activity, engage in abusive negotiation conduct, or use offers to facilitate off-platform transactions.
Offer activity displayed publicly or within the Platform is informational only. TCE may limit offer frequency, restrict abusive users, remove suspicious offer activity, or suppress manipulated engagement signals.
10. Structured Buyer Requests
The Platform may allow buyers to request timestamp photos, additional condition photos, front, back, corner, edge, or surface images, or other structured information supported by the Platform. Sellers may accept or decline requests unless otherwise required by TCE.
Declining a request does not automatically indicate fraud, but may impact buyer confidence and may be displayed to the buyer or considered in dispute review where relevant. Timestamp photos and supplemental images are informational only and do not constitute authentication guarantees. Sellers may not upload false, misleading, altered, or unrelated images in response to buyer requests.
11. Shipping and Fulfillment Obligations
Sellers are responsible for shipping sold items promptly and safely. Sellers must mark an order shipped within three (3) business days of the confirmed sale and provide valid tracking where tracked shipping is required. If the seller misses that deadline, TCE may notify both buyer and seller and provide the seller with an additional twenty-four (24) hour grace period. If the order is still not marked shipped when the grace period ends, the buyer may cancel for a full refund. The order will not automatically cancel solely because the grace period ends. TCE may cancel the order, refund the buyer, hold or reverse seller funds, reduce seller visibility or seller status, pause selling privileges, or suspend selling privileges for repeated or serious violations.
TCE may require tracking, delivery confirmation, signature confirmation, or other reasonable shipment safeguards for certain transactions, categories, item values, or risk levels. Sellers must package items securely and appropriately, comply with Platform shipping requirements, and ensure shipment information is accurate.
Sellers acknowledge that carrier delays may occur, transit issues may be outside TCE’s control, buyers may file disputes where shipment obligations are not met, and sellers may bear the risk of loss where tracking, delivery confirmation, or required shipment protections are not provided.
12. Risk of Loss and Proof of Shipment
Sellers generally bear the risk of loss, damage, misdelivery, or non-delivery until valid delivery confirmation is available, unless otherwise determined by TCE or required by applicable law or payment processor rules.
TCE may refund a buyer, reverse a payout, or require reimbursement from a seller if the seller cannot provide valid proof of shipment or delivery, the item is lost or damaged in transit without sufficient shipment protection, the seller ships to an incorrect address, the seller fails to comply with Platform shipping requirements, or the seller fails to promptly fulfill an order.
Eligible untracked-envelope transactions are treated differently because delivery cannot be independently verified. Where the buyer knowingly selected and accepted untracked shipping, TCE may be unable to issue a refund based solely on a claim of non-delivery. TCE may still review suspected fraud, repeated complaints, seller misconduct, or other compelling evidence.
For higher-value transactions, sellers should use shipping methods and packaging safeguards appropriate for the item type and value, including tracking, delivery confirmation, or signature confirmation where appropriate or required.
13. No-Ship, Ghosting, and Non-Fulfillment
To maintain buyer trust, sellers must not ignore, abandon, or fail to fulfill completed sales. TCE may take action when sellers fail to fulfill orders, repeatedly cancel sales, or stop responding after a transaction.
Potential actions may include warnings, reduced seller visibility, reduced seller limits, temporary selling pauses, account suspension or termination, payout holds or offsets, refunds, buyer credits, and recovery of costs from current or future payouts.
TCE reserves the right to impose non-fulfillment, cancellation, or no-ship fees in cases involving repeated, high-value, clearly avoidable, or bad-faith seller failure to ship or respond. By selling on TCE, sellers authorize TCE to deduct refunds, adjustments, fees, credits, or amounts owed from current or future payouts where permitted by law and payment processor rules.
14. Payouts, Holds, and Reserves
Payments are processed through third-party providers such as Stripe. Sellers acknowledge that payout timing may vary and that funds may be delayed, held, reserved, restricted, reversed, or offset for fraud prevention, disputes, chargebacks, risk review, delivery confirmation, verification requirements, payment processor rules, legal compliance, negative balances, or amounts owed.
Payout schedules may vary based on verification level, seller history, risk profile, delivery confirmation status, and payment processor requirements.
TCE reserves the right to reverse transactions where permitted, offset amounts owed, recover negative balances, withhold funds during investigations, deduct refund amounts, chargebacks, buyer credits, or other adjustments from future payouts, and seek reimbursement through available means where permitted. If a refund, chargeback, adjustment, or buyer credit occurs after a seller has already received payout, TCE may deduct the applicable amount from future payouts or otherwise seek recovery.
15. Buyer Data Confidentiality
Sellers may receive limited buyer information solely for the purpose of fulfilling orders placed through TCE. Sellers must keep buyer information confidential and may use it only to complete the applicable transaction.
Sellers may not use buyer information for marketing, add buyers to mailing lists, contact buyers outside TCE except as required for order fulfillment and permitted by TCE, sell or share buyer information, use buyer data to solicit off-platform transactions, or store buyer information insecurely or unnecessarily.
Misuse of buyer information may result in immediate enforcement action.
16. Off-Platform Transactions and Fee Circumvention
Sellers may not redirect buyers off-platform, share external payment methods for fee avoidance, encourage buyers to transact outside TCE, use Platform communications to avoid Platform fees, circumvent Platform systems or protections, or use buyer information to solicit off-platform transactions.
Prohibited conduct includes sharing external payment information, redirecting buyers to Instagram, Discord, Facebook, websites, external marketplaces, private groups, or other channels to complete transactions, asking buyers to cancel transactions and pay externally, or including package inserts, business cards, packing slips, QR codes, links, discount offers, or other materials that encourage buyers to transact outside TCE.
Violations may result in listing removal, restricted communications, loss of selling privileges, permanent account termination, held funds, fee recovery, or additional enforcement actions.
17. Seller Verification and Trust Signals
TCE may provide seller verification, badges, sales counts, rankings, reviews, trust scores, or other informational indicators (“Trust Signals”). Trust Signals are informational only, do not guarantee transaction success, do not guarantee authenticity, may change over time, and may be removed or modified at any time.
Sellers may not misrepresent verification status, manipulate reviews or trust signals, artificially inflate seller metrics, or use Trust Signals in a misleading manner.
TCE may modify ranking systems, adjust feed visibility, change exposure algorithms, limit listing visibility, or remove or alter Trust Signals at its discretion. TCE does not guarantee listing exposure, feed placement, visibility, sales volume, or engagement levels.
18. Prohibited Items and Conduct
Sellers may not list counterfeit items, stolen items, illegal goods, prohibited products, fraudulent or deceptive listings, or items the seller does not own or possess.
Sellers may not engage in shill activity, abuse chargebacks, manipulate reviews, harass buyers, threaten users, create fake accounts, evade enforcement actions, submit fraudulent disputes, abuse refund systems, misuse buyer information, or interfere with Platform operations.
TCE may investigate suspected violations using automated systems, risk models, user reports, manual review, third-party signals, and payment processor data.
19. Disputes and Cooperation Requirements
During disputes, investigations, or reviews, sellers must respond promptly to TCE requests, provide requested evidence or documentation, cooperate in good faith, and preserve relevant records where requested.
Requested evidence may include tracking information, photos or videos, packaging evidence, listing screenshots, shipment receipts, communication history, or proof of item ownership or authenticity.
Failure to cooperate may result in adverse dispute outcomes, held or reversed funds, enforcement actions, or loss of seller protections. TCE may defer to payment processor decisions where applicable.
20. Return and Refund Compliance
Sellers must comply with TCE’s Buyer Protection Policy, refund rules, dispute procedures, and any transaction-specific resolution determined by TCE or a payment processor.
TCE may require sellers to accept returns, provide refund cooperation, generate or pay for return shipping where appropriate, provide evidence supporting the seller’s position, or reimburse TCE for refunds, credits, chargebacks, or adjustments caused by seller conduct.
Refunds and adjustments may be deducted from current or future payouts where permitted.
21. Taxes
Sellers are responsible for determining, reporting, and paying any income, business, or other taxes arising from their sales on TCE. TCE may collect and remit sales tax or other transaction-based taxes where required by law.
TCE may provide tax forms, including Form 1099-K or successor forms, where required by applicable law or payment processor rules. TCE does not provide tax, legal, or accounting advice, and sellers should consult their own tax professionals regarding tax obligations.
22. Enforcement Rights
TCE may take enforcement action at its sole discretion, including removing listings, restricting visibility, limiting selling privileges, holding or reversing funds, suspending accounts, permanently terminating accounts, reporting unlawful conduct to authorities, and imposing limits on transactions, listings, or payouts.
Enforcement decisions may be based on risk signals, fraud indicators, chargeback activity, policy violations, user complaints, operational concerns, legal concerns, or payment processor requirements. TCE is not obligated to disclose internal moderation, ranking, enforcement, or risk review processes.
23. Relationship to Payment Processors
Payments are processed by third-party payment providers. Sellers acknowledge that chargebacks may occur, payment processor decisions may override Platform determinations, TCE does not control chargeback outcomes, and payment processor rules may require holds, reversals, reserves, or account restrictions.
Sellers are responsible for complying with all applicable payment processor rules.
24. No Authentication, Appraisal, or Investment Services
Unless expressly stated otherwise in writing, TCE does not authenticate items, appraise collectibles, certify value, guarantee grading outcomes, or provide investment advice.
All collectible transactions involve risk. Buyers and sellers are solely responsible for evaluating items and conducting due diligence.
25. Policy Modifications
TCE may modify this Seller Policy at any time. Updated versions become effective upon posting unless otherwise stated. Continued use of the Platform after updated policies become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
